Sunday - the day before Glenna's first day of her new treatment. A day of packing, organizing, trying desparerately to "keep it together" while trying to put together the thoughts and plans for a new beginning. Mom, Dad Jacob and Auntie working hard all day to get the house ready for departure. Glenna trying to do all the things necessary to begin her new phase of this difficult journey. Needless to say, it was a stressful day - came close to a breakdown. But then, somehow, we made it over the bridge and away from Cape Cod - all the way to Boston and to the wonderful apartment that Colleen's boss, Scott, so generously offered us as a much-needed sanctuary. Once here, we met up with Cousin Adam, and Glenna's bestest college buds, Meg, Courtney, Kristin and Erika. We met up at Smith & Wollensky and spent a fabulous few hours of eating and laughing and reminescing. All the stress of the day, and for that matter, the last several months, seemed to melt away as we sat there and relished in the moment - that wonderful moment of friends and true love that overtakes all else. I wish this night did not have to end. But tomorrow is a new beginning, and we are all extremely hopeful about what is to come. Glenna has so much love and strength supporting her; her fate cannot help but be positive. We will all say goodnight to you all and I will continue to keep you informed as to the day's events and her progress. Love to all of you from a very grateful Kohl family.
