4/4/08 17:33 Fri. NIH

Glenna had a great nights sleep she informed me when I arrived @ 7.Two surgeons and her doctor had already been in to check on her starting the flow for the day.{a fairly constant flow}Today's mission:Try drinking any clear fluids and maybe some crackers.I'm happy to report that some liquid;1/2 cup cranberry, cup of water and 1/2 cup tea. 1 saltine cracker.Although she is receiving nausea medication intravenously along with pain and several other meds she needed some extra nausea medication to fight off some strong waves of nausea. We are very pleased to report no signs of a epidural headache! The team came in to check on her progress and start to discuss possible plans for her return home.{Maybe Mon.}She needs to be able to eat solid food and know to pipes are working. They have set up a V.N. and intravenous food supply to be delivered to the house.Dr. Rosenberg wants her to be as strong as possible on her return visit. We walked around the corridors and spent about an hour doing a puzzle in one of the family rooms but besides the nausea she is struggling to stay awake sometimes from the pain medications. She wants me to thank all of you that have sent cards and prayed and wished her well. She absorbs all the positive energy like a sponge!!!!
Thanks; Capt. K
