May 15 - Last clinical trial treatment

Hello friends, Well, Glenna survived her final treatment on Tuesday. The injections were probably as bad as they've ever been; but the after effects were mild. I guess she's getting used to this abuse. We had a little "last stick" celebration while still at the hospital and the wonderful nurses there congratulated her and wished her well. Other than some weight loss - which we are attributing to her being more active and eating less sugar and fat - she's been feeling and looking really well. Her hair is starting to grow back, which is exciting. It will be fun to see her with short hair, which I know she will look adorable in.

She will go for a full set of scans at the end of next week - and the week after that, will get the results. These results will either determine what the next step is - or she may wait a bit and have another set of scans done to compare. It's always very nervewracking waiting for the results - but we will take what comes and look positively toward the next step. If our schedules allow, we may take a quick trip out west to see friends and let Glenna indulge in more spa treatments. All else is well. We don't get to see Jake as often as we like, because he has started cooking at the restaurant on the weekends and doesn't get home much. We all spent Mother's Day together in Dover with him (even the dogs). It was such a treat for me (and I think for everyone else). Life is good for now - and I will be in touch again when there's more news to give. Keep Glenna in your prayers in the next few weeks. We love you all. M.K.

I second that Babs!! Praise the Lord for He is good. Pray-pray-pray everyone ... "And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." Jesus, Matt 21:22
