Hello all, Glenna has just finished day two of her new radiation routine. She is going up to Boston for radiation treatment on her upper torso. She had her 1st treatment yesterday; a 2nd one today. She'll have 3 next week, and then probably one more the following week - 6 in all. Hopefully she can handle that much and it will relieve her discomfort and pain she's been having. As usual, she is keeping as upbeat as possible, trying not to let her discomfort affect her life. It's hard for her, I know. She has a hard time doing things that came easily to her just weeks ago. Just doing normal day-to-day activities are extremely exhausting, and she is still having trouble with her swallowing. We help her as much as we can; I wish we could do more to make her feel better. Jake is around alot when he's not working, and he takes really good care of his sister. I am so proud of both of them.

We're looking forward to a relaxing, long weekend at the lake. We just heard that we're going to get a visit from one of our favorite friends, Stephanie from California. She's coming early September to the cape, and we're going to spend a weekend with her up in New Hampshire visiting her two sons. It's always a happy time when Steph is around!
