October 3rd
Just a quick update to let you all know things are going well. Glenna enjoyed a wonderful birthday yesterday, with many friends and family giving and sending lots of love. We had a great dinner out (Inaho - her favorite) with Dad, Aunt Jeanne, Uncle Dave & Mom. And yummy birthday cake at home while watching the debate (oh, such fun). She is feeling pretty well. Her appointment on Wed. was fairly uneventful. She saw Dr. Lawrence and Dr. Shih. Dr. Shih told her the MRI showed that there had been some bleeding in one of her lesions in her brain - which if very common after radiation. She said most of the spots looked as though they had reacted to the treatement. There was one area of concern that she wants to keep an eye on closely. It may be a spot that did not respond to treatment and if so, she will want to treat it again in a few weeks. But other than that, everything looked good and nothing else new in the brain.
Right now the only important thing is that she remain strong enough to enjoy her trip to California. She is getting so excited about the Ellen show. We will be packing tonight and taking off tomorrow afternoon. So wish us well, and you will all certainly be getting an update when we return. Love to you all. Until next time....MK

Happy Belated Birthday Glenna,
Hope you have a fantastic trip out to California. Thank you for your continued support of Andy. Christine at NIH said to say hi to you, she was Andy's nurse the other day. Thinking of you,
