Monday, Dec 10th

Good Morning, It was so wonderful to have Glenna sleeping at the lodge last night. We got a little exercise in the mini-gym and had a nice dinner and to bed early. She felt really good yesterday - the best she's felt yet since being here.

This morning she woke up and her hearing in one ear was worse. She's concerned and says it is really frustrating, but they assure her that it will get better. Her doctor was in this morning and says the plan is that she will see her eye and ear doctor on Wednesday (her eyes will be checked and she will get her 2nd ear shot) and if all goes as planned, she can leave on Thursday morning - WHOOPIE!

We are leaving this morning to go into Bethesda for a little R&R. It has warmed up here into the 50's. The weather is really cooperating with our outings. I know this little trip will probably exhaust Glenna, but we'll relax again tonight. She can't wait to be home, and now it's so close.

Lauren - Glenna received your goodie package today - it was so thoughtful. She will love the decorations in her room at home. She thanks you so much.
