Hello friends,
Glenna has her last brain radiation treatment tomorrow. She has been feeling really well throughout this ordeal. She has even driven to Boston herself the last two days. NIH called to say they wanted her to come down on Thursday, the day after the last treatment! She & I will be flying down on Thursday and on Friday she will have a full set of scans. Her team will review the scans and decide if they will start her new cell treatment on the next Monday, or whether they want to give her one more week of buffer between treatments. Of course, we are hoping they will start right away to get it going, but on the same hand, I'm glad her doctors are being cautious about how things will affect her. We won't find out until late Friday if we will be staying on or coming back home for a week. What a roller coaster ride this has become.
We are all very excited to start this very promising new phase. We have alot of hope. But regardless of the outcome of this treatment, Glenna has decided when it's done that she will be starting the PH Balance diet. She has been reading alot about it and talking to people who are doing it. It sounds so logical. We are going to try to support her through it and help her with it. It won't be easy.
The Cape Cod Marathon last week was a huge success. Our friends at Horsley Witten ran a great race for Glenna. They all ran hard and raised lots of money for Glenna and the foundation. We are so appreciative of their efforts. It really meant so much to Glenna. She came with me to Falmouth to cheer them on and celebrate after the race at Liam Maguire's. Good day!
Well it's goodbye for now, but I'll fill you all in when we get down to Maryland on her schedule. Thinking of all of you always and thanking you for being there and caring so much.
Much love, MK

Thanks for the update Weener. We'll hope for a quick start to the cell treatment too and I will have to look up the PH Balance diet - can Chef Jake whip up a delicious version? Let me know if you need anything in DC. Thinking of you and sending Glenna all our love.
