November 7th
Hello again - Just a quick update on our change of plans. With all of our bags packed and ready to go, Glenna received a call from her NIH doctor saying they have decided to hold off the treatment for another 2 weeks. Her NIH docs had a consultation with her MGH docs and it was decided that it was not safe to begin such an invasive treatment so soon after treating her brain. Its a good decision but frustrating as all the flights and hotel reservations were made. But of course, Glenna's welfare comes first so, as usual, we will all adapt.
So for now, the plan is that they will let her know when to come back down (possibly the end of next week) for scans and evaluation. If they decide to go forward with treatment, we will meet her down there and she will possibly begin during Thanksgiving week. I know...it's a bummer to be starting that week, but if she does, she will be done by Christmas. So we are hoping to be spending a quiet, family Thanksgiving day in Maryland.
We will all be around for the next week or so, so keep in touch and we will too.

Colleen, again, it's so great to be able to keep updated on the blog. Well, not so great but a rest is probably in order and what else were you going to do over Thanksgiving? Eat too much! Will give you a call and of course, only pick up if you feel like it. Sending all our love and lots of strength for Glenna to take with her into the next step!

Dear Glenna, Colleen, Bobby and Jacob: We all wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving. Wish that we were all together again. Next year. Keep your chin up Glenna.
