January 26th

Day Three

Glenna got through the first two days of chemo really well. She got her first dose of Fludarabine today, and will continue to get one dose a day of this 2nd chemo for the next 5 days. She is feeling pretty well so far. We were able to come over to the lodge this afternoon and get some exercise and have a nice, healthy dinner. Aunt Jeanne arrived this afternoon and will be here with Glenna until next Saturday. Unfortunately I have to leave tomorrow, but will try to get back as soon as I can.

Glenna sat down at the beautiful baby grand in the lodge today and gave us a little concert. It was beautiful. She also rode the bike and did some yoga before dinner. It's so great to see her feeling well. We're really hoping she will get through this with less discomfort than the last time.
She will be getting her cell infusion on Thursday, January 31st. Go cells go! It will be interesting to see how many are grown this time.

Some of you were interested in the links to the info on her 2 friends who are running the marathon this year. Lauren Glaser is running in Glenna's honor for the Dana Farber Institute, and her info can be found at: LaurenGlaserDFMC.com And Nicole Poirier (one of Glenna's nurses at MGH/turned friend) will be running in her honor for the Melanoma Foundation of NE, and her info is at: www.firstgiving.com/nicolep They are both running to raise money for these devastating diseases, and could use any amount of help offered.

Thanks for now and I'll be in touch again soon. Love, MK
