Happy Cinco de Mayo
Hello everyone. Glenna had a pretty uncomfortable weekend. Her fever kept spiking every evening. They still do not know why. All the results of her blood cultures were fine - no bacteria anywhere. It could just be associated with her treatment, but they want to monitor her for awhile to make sure things are OK. Last night she had a slight fever (100.9) but then it subsided at bedtime and stayed normal all night. Still no fever this morning. Yeah! So we hope it has gone for good. Her liver enzymes were high yesterday and the day before so they had scheduled an ultrasound to check the bloodflow to the liver. She was very worried about that, even though they said it just to rule out the unlikely chance that there was some obstruction to the flow. When the team came in this morning they said that her liver counts were back to normal so they cancelled the ultrasound. Yeah! But Glenna was complaining of a slight headache the last 2 days, so they did a catscan of her brain this morning and we are now waiting for the docs to come back and update us on that situation. If all her counts stay normal and her fever doesn't come back, we're hoping she will be able to go home tomorrow. Hoping, hoping hoping....waiting, waiting, waiting. That's our job at the moment. Until later....MK

lots of love to you on the day of the great Mexican battle, sombreros, and guacamole. You're fighting a bigger one, G, and we're all with you. Can't wait to see you ... hopefully this weekend back in Barnstable where we all belong.
Lots of love!
