Saturday, Tres de Mayo

Hello folks, It looks like the reason Glenna was feeling so punky yesterday and all last night was she was running a fever. It was 102 most of the afternoon and fell a bit overnight. Today her fever is down, but she is really pooped. They decided not to continue her on the TPN, as good as it is for her, it makes her liver work extra hard. Her liver counts are up (which is not good) so they have stopped it as of today, and she will have to work extra hard to eat and drink to get the vitamins and nutrients she needs. It seems to be getting harder instead of easier for her. They did a slew of lab work on her and a chest x-ray to rule out pneumonia. They will try to determine from the labwork just what is causing the fever and whether it will need an antibiotic or not. Geeesh!
It is so beautiful here today - about 80 degrees and sunny. We took a little walk through the gardens here. It was good for her to get some fresh air. Bob is home with the pooches - they are sooooo happy. Just imagine when Glenna arrives!
