February 24, 2010

Hello friends, Well today Bob & I had our 4 minutes of fame. It was nerve-wracking being on television (especially when we were stuck in Boston traffic until 10 minutes before our air time) but we did it. And I'm so glad we were able to be Glenna's voice and help spread the word of warning. The show was a spot on Fox 25 News to bring awareness to the dangers of tanning, purposely aired during spring break season. Once we were able to watch it, it was so great to see all of the photos of Glenna on TV. She would have loved that.

We have been working on plans for our event this year. We just learned we will not be holding it at Ochre Court this year. So we are busy putting together a new venue. We are close to making a decision and will announce it very soon.

We are also planning The Piggy Trot....a 5K run through the beautiful beaches of Osterville on June 20th - Father's Day. All details will be posted on our website real soon - but get in shape and plan to join us - walking or running - for the cause.

Thank you to all of you who gave us such positive feedback on the interview. All Bob & I could say when we watched it was how old we both looked! But then that really doesn't matter, does it?

Proud to be, Glenna's folks

I agree, tanning beds in excessive is dangerous, as is the sun. Young teenagers both boys and girls think that a "tan" is healthy looking. Skin cancer is on the rise, keep up the good work that you are both doing.
