Piggies on the Move
Hello friends,
We have finalized plans for our upcoming events. Our first event - The Piggy Trot - a 5K road race, will be held on Sunday, May 23rd, in Osterville, Mass. The entry fee is $20 and includes a memorial t-shirt. We are looking for sponsors to support this event. For a $100 sponsorship, we will print your business name on the back of the t-shirt. We are also looking for donations of water, power drinks, fruit or healthy snacks to distribute to the runners. Other details and registration information will be posted on our website in the next day or two (www.glennasfund.org). We hope you will come out and help us celebrate Glenna, Spring, Dowses Beach, and raising funds for an important cause.
We are really excited to announce that our 2nd Annual Angel's Masquerade Ball will be held on the cape this year, Saturday, November 6th, at the Ridge Club in Sandwich. We are again planning a wonderful night of good food, great music and exciting auctions - both live and silent. Last year was such a blast and such a huge success, and we are thrilled to be able to host this event on Cape Cod this year. More info will be posted soon on our website.
Lots of new things happening this year. There is a buzz about the tanning bill legislation moving through the statehouse, and we have high hopes that our legislators will see the importance of passing this new regulation on age restrictions. There is a very powerful short video, created by the Melanoma Foundation of N.E., posted on our website. Do yourself a favor and watch it, and please pass it along to anyone you know who is still tanning.
